INTERVIEW:
Very informal with few questions

Sworn in

Asked to confirm our respective names and sign attorney waver.

Took Finger prints.

Asked if ever worked illegally or claimed to be a USC- Never illegally and can't remember claiming Citizenship.

Ever received medicare/ medicaid- I said not me but our US citizen kids for 4 months.

How i stayed on F1 for many years without going out of status- I said always went for new program after graduation.

Then showed him 6 degrees and professional certificates which amused him. When i said its been a painful journey, he said, i can imagine.

Asked for our Birth and Marriage Certificates.

Our children birth certificates.

Supporting docs, only took Insurance, Bank and Investment statements(401K and Stocks)
Said this is enough i don't any more. I forced him to take our tax transcripts.

Asked the standard present security question-We gave No to all.

He asked if we had any question for him-We said no thank you.

I thank him for interviewing us, to which he said the pleasure was him.

END and escorted off the door.

Observation:
We had a true human being in the IO that interviewed us. Any perceived tough question, was just from the template of his professional interview process as expected of him and not meant to kill prospect. He has excellent people skills and carried himself very professional. It created a good rapport that kept us at peace through the interview process.

The 18 months of preparing ended in a 30 minutes interview without asking to see or take anything from a trove of our prepared documents. We returned home with a massive folder of untouched documents and photos. I can only advise that it always better to prepare than not prepare because different interviewers have different approach.

In conclusion: We have seen the had of God in our journey. Patience is a virtue. If God can do it for us, he will surely come through for you too.
