Hi Desis,

Five months back my parents came to US, and i bought Liaison international Insurance from SRI for my dad which covers upto $100000.00
with $100 deductable and also Emergency Medical Evacuation: US$100,000.

I Payed a premium of around $452 for two months.

My dad 65 years of age had previous problem of heart disease, he had also undergone bypass surgery.

One day he developed a chest pain and i drived him to the emergency center. After diagnosing him doctors came to the conclusion that the pain was because of gas trouble which was caused by improper bowel movements for the past few days.

Doctors report from the emergency center also states that the chest pain was developed due to the Gas trouble. We stayed there for around 2 hours in the emergency and was later shifted to the ward and stayed there for monitoring for around 10 hours.

In the emergency center and in the ward they had done few blood tests, x-rays.

Later Hospital send a bill to SRI for claim which was huge amount for about $8000. In Addition $495 from the emergency center + another
$480 for the medical tests(blood tests and X-rays)

SRI had also asked more information with my dad's doctor in india, he replied in favour of us saying that my dad never had this kind of
trouble.

Now SRI had send me a letter that they won't cover any thing because the condition was pre-existing.

Actually my dad never had these kind of problems regarding indigestion and lack of bowel movements before, i don't know why the SRI had come
to the conclusion as my dad's case was pre-existing.

Now my dad returned back to india, only information the insurance company and the hospital had now is my address and phone number.

I appreciate some body to advise me as how to proceed further to fight this
case, since my dad's condition was not pre-existing.

Can i try to get out these case and can i say that my dad is responsible for his claims and not me..
