H1B, H4 Visa

This forum was really helpful so I thought I would post my experience as well

I had counselor interview on 12/26

there was a rejection in front of me for not having proper paperwork I believe(for visiting visa). I was little nervous but din't loose my confidence

here is how it went ...

vo: good morning
me: good morning and merry Christmas with big smile and vo smiled back
vo: typing...so you are working for xxxx company?
me: yes and I am working for same client since x.x years
vo: who is your client?
me: xxxxxx
vo: state?
me: xxxx
vo: salary?
me: xxxxx
vo: have you ever worked at employer location?
me: no
vo: whats your highest degree?
me: masters in xxxx at xxxxx university
vo: your visa is approved
me: Thanks you very much, when can I expect my passport
vo: 3-5 business days but you know we have holidays coming up right (with a big smile)
me: yup, happy holidays (with a big smile)

26th dec: status updated to admin processing
27th dec : Issued
28th dec: passport ready for pick up and picked up on the same day

Just be confident. Don't worry if you have all the paper work with you. Good luck and all the best!!
