my timeline (marriage based)
Jul/2017, file 130/485/765/131 to USCIS
Aug/2017, fringprint
Sep/2017, got EAD/AP approved. And 485 online status changed to "ready to be scheduled for interview"
Mar/2018, file I-765 for 2nd EAD (cause I'm afraid 485 interview date will go beyond my 1st EAD expire date)
Apr/2018, 485 online status changed to "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact xxxxxx". I
Oct/2018, call USCIS and ask to expedite my 2nd 765 applications, cause my 1st EAD already expired for 1month. A few days later, got my 2nd EAD card in mail box.
Nov/2018, 485 online status changed to "interview is scheduled". A few days later, got paper interview notice in mailbox.
Dec/2018, went interview in Minneapolis office with my spouse. After interview, I was given a notice saying “recommended for approval”. (Interview experience is posted in

Dec/31/2018. Last day of 2018, which is about 2weeks after interview, I got a SMS saying "your case is updated". I went to www.uscis.gov, and found my 485 status became "new card is being produced". I knew that's a signal of GC approval.
Jan/7/2019. Got my GC in mailbox. The entire process took ~18 months.
A few tips I would like to share
1, For those couple who entered marriage for true love, there is nothing to worry about.
2, It’s very important to bring joint bank account, joint lease, joint real estate (if applicable), joint tax return, joint insurance etc. These are all strong evidences to show we are true couple. During interview, my officer spent lots of time in checking these. My officer gave me “verbally approval” when she saw almost all our money are saved together.
3, You can call 1-800-375-5283 to expedite if you believe waiting time is too long, and it’s hurting you. In my case, I called this number in Oct/2018 cause my 1st EAD was already expired, although I was still allowed to work for another 180 days, but I don’t want to wait until last minute. I called this number, and I found a representative, and ask to expedite my 2nd I-765 case. She asked my reason, I told her it’s because I don’t want lose job, and I had waited 7months at that time. She submitted a expediate request for me, and then told me the request#. Guess wait? 30 minutes after this call, my 2nd EAD was approved.
