Call-In Letter
Hello,This forum has been of great help to me,i just need to seek answers concerning an issue.
I am an f1 student who fell out of status as a result of not attending classes for sometime and in the process i got married to my wife who is a USC and we already put in the application for AOS,just for a couple of days ago DHS shows up in our house and request where i was and unfortunately i was not home and so they dropped off a letter saying i should come to their office and left a number to call.
upon return i called and spoke to the officer in charge and she said my school informed her about my I-20 being terminated and that i should report to her office but i asked her why do i need to when my wife already petitioned for me we have receipts to show that we have filed in the paper work and she said wow and asked for the receipt number to verify which i gave to her,after which she said she would close the case and upload it on her end that i have already applies for AOS..by the way the letter stated Call-In letter and reason was "INTERVIEW AND/OR PROCESSING FOR VISA OVERSTAY."
i Just want to know if anyone has been in such situation before and what happened? Because its strange. My PD is Nov 2018.
