Hello all you patient people in this terrific forum,
I’m a Canadian married to an American citizen.
Well first a bit about my timeline:
PD July 30 2018 (Chicago lockbox)
Biometrics: August 26 2018 (Austin Texas)
realized we could’ve filed for an EAD (we didn’t know a lot about filing and done it ourselves)
EAD Pd: September 18 2018
Updated I-485 status: Dec 14 2018: ready to be scheduled for an interview
It’s been 4 month and 1 week since filing my EAD and 6 months since filing aos and petition for alien relative.
I called to just inquire about my cases and was told “ur in the approval window for your EAD and could get it between now and April” (nothing like a rough estimate haha) as for my AOS interview (San Antonio field office) I’m in que for a date and time and just have to wait......... and wait.
Is there anyone else who has the same or similar dates as myself who might be able to keep my hopes up? I want to be able to go home in April to see my Grandson born (My sons first child) and see my family so badly. I wish everyone quick and speedy resolutions in this often trying journey. God bless!
