EAD card expedite approved
Hi everyone,

I benefited so much from everyone who is willing to share their experience going through the process and I wanted to share mine with you.

I applied for I-485 (c09), I-130, I-765 and I-131 back in August. USCIS received the package on August 28th 2018.

11/30/2018: 1st expedite request submitted through USCIS customer service
12/4/2018: USCIS mailed a letter saying there's no proof, but did not provide any fax number
12/18/2018: 2nd expedite request submitted
12/27/2018: USCIS requested for proof and provided fax number
1/2/2018: My company attorney faxed over evidence
1/4/2018: I got Senator office staff's help to send in my evidence
1/7/2018: USCIS confirmed evidence received
1/16/2018: Expedite request apporved
1/22/2018: USCIS online account updated and notified me that it's approved and card in production
1/22/2018: USPS picked up my combo card
1/24/2018: Status shows the card will be delivered tonight

I am glad that I received my card finally right before my employer was going to terminate the employment. The process didn't go as smooth and fast as others have shared, but it is approved!
A few tips I'd like to share with you and hope to help you throughout the process:

1. USCIS customer service have different background contractors working for them, some of them are more engaging and willing to listen and help and others can be robotic, cold and isolating. Don't be discouraged by that, always try to ask for 2nd tier customer service or request to talk to their supervisors. They are able to see more information you would normally not be able to see from your online case status.

2. The first expedite request was made through a USCIS customer service agent, that wasn't too helpful because she didn't ask for the reasons why I need to expedite but only I asked me to choose a category. If I had to do it a second time, I would request through the online system. The system allows you to put simple descriptions about the consequences if you don't have the EAD card expedited. Try to make one or two impactful sentences when you submit your request.

3. The congressmen and senators they are really helpful!!!! I wasn't able to track if USCIS center ever received the faxed evidence or mailed evidence, neither does my company's attorney. But they do get back to your congressmen or senators. My senator's office forwarded USCIS's email to me showing that they confirm receiving the evidence and will try their best to review the expedite case though can't guarantee the time frame. It's much better than sitting in the complete dark.

4. Lastly, be hopeful when you are going through this. Remember that God has the best timing for things to happen. I was being super productive when I wasn't able to work. I applied for a lot of jobs I was hoping to apply but didn't have time. I made my husband delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners that I didn't have time to make. I also had time to slow down and think about what I'd want to achieve in life while researching some startup ideas. Try to utilize the time that you are in the limbo state and you will be grateful!

Good luck to everybody!
