Hi Guys!

I used this forum a lot during my experience and it was so helpful! My husband finally got his green card and I wanted to share with everyone our experience.

Location: Durham, NC

Background: My husband was a DACA holder and had advance parole in 2016 and I him a U.S. Citizen.

Oct-11-18 Sent Applications in.

We had a representative work on our case. She included all the applications needed and on top of that she also sent the following:
- 4 passport pictures (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
- Last 4 pay stubs
- Birth Certificates
- Advance Parole (Beneficiary)
- Most Recent Taxes
- Passport Copies
- Driver License Copies
- Social Security Copies
- Medical Exam
- Marriage Certificate
- Form I-864
- Employer Letter from Beneficiary

Oct-18-18 USCIS sent letter that they received our case with priority date of Oct-15
Oct-29-18 USCIS sent letter for biometric appointment
Nov-15-18 Biometric appointment in Durham,NC
Dec-15-18 USCIS sent letter for interview
Jan-16-18 Interview in Durham,NC

Interview:
We went to our interview 30 minutes before our appointment which was at 1:45M
We checked in and showed our appointment letter and where sent upstair to wait in the waiting room.
Our interview was about 30 minutes long. I brought a binder with everything asked on the appointment notice plus copies of the applications sent. (six months of bank statements, 2 years of leases, car registrations, health insuranceI also brought along a photo album with plenty pictures, including our wedding, holidays,birthday, etc.

She only asked me a couple questions:
My Full Name
How many times have I been married
How many times has my spouse been married

She asked my spouse (beneficiary):
The Yes/No questions
His home address
Date of Advance Parole
How many times has he been married
How many tattoos did I have and where and what (we mentioned I had tattoos)
How did he meet me?
Where was our first date?
About our relationship and how it developed…this was most of the interview

After our interview our status did not change at all. It wasn’t until Jan-22-18 that we received letter in the mail that our case was approved! The letter had a date of Jan-17-18, a day after our interview.

On Jan-23-18 We checked online again and his status had changed to card has been picked up by USPS and here is the tracking #, delivery for Jan-25-18

Jan-24-18 My husband received his Green Card and it has a date of Jan-25-18
