Financial Aid (Paroled Status) while I-485 is Pending
Hello Everyone,

I have an application pending with USCIS (I-485 C9). I am a college student, and I just figured out that one of the eligibility requirements for Fin Aid is being paroled in the US for at least one year with a purpose of becoming a permanent resident (well, my I-485 is a proof).

QUESTION:

1. Has anyone done that?
2. Do you usually get paroled for one year when you re-enter? (I have an advance parole card).

I am just thinking of taking a little vacation abroad, and as a bonus I will also get financial aid.
