Toronto - H1B Visa Stamping 01-28-19 - Visa Approved
1. Arrived at Toronto Pearson Airport on 1/27 and took a cab to Downtown hotel - Doubletree Hilton which is 5 min walk from US Embassy. I would advise staying in downtown if you can afford it as it is convenient and close to many food shops

2. I did a scout of the embassy on 1/27 - to ensure where the back side of embassy is. It is on the Simcoe street , so make sure you are familiar with that area or try to go a day before. On the same street, there is a small coffee shop that also provides locker rental. Cell phones, big backpacks are not allowed in the embassy so either leave them at your hotel or get a locker rental from this coffee shop

3. 1/28: My appointment was at 8:00 AM and I arrived at 8:15 AM. The guard told me to come back around 8:30, they will not check you in if you arrive early and the appointment slots is prior to your appointment time. There are coffee shops around where you can sit at to kill time

4. Once you are in your appointment time slow, At the check in window they will check your Passport and DS160 confirmation page. Make sure you have the confirmation page with bar code on it. Some people in line printed the instructions page and had to rush to print the correct DS160 with BARCODE.

5. Once you are in, they will again check your Passport and DS160 form and send you to Window 1. The person here will ask for your passport and I-797A. He handed it back to me in a blue folder

6. Then I was sent to Fingerprinting window (all these windows including VO window are in the same room) so its very easy and faster

7. After fingerprinting, I was sent to the third window where a VO asked for the blue file that was given to me at Window 1. Questions asked
    a. What does your company do?
    b. How long you have been with the company
    c. How long you have been in United states
    d. Has your company filed for your immigration (I-140)
    e. How long you have been on H1-B

Other than these no other question was asked, neither the VO asked for any other document that I was carrying. He said the Visa is approved and will take 3-5 days. The whole process from entering the embassy to getting out took 30 min

Hope this helps
