Please Advice - Interview on Wed, no joint lease
Dear All,

Our interview is scheduled on February 6, this Wednesday. Our office is in Los Angeles.

So far, we have most of the documents we can provide:
- marriage certificate
- car registration w/ both names
- joint car insurances
- life insurance with husband as beneficiary
- joint health insurance from military
- joint gas bill
- joint CC statement
- joint bank statement
- 2017 and 2018 Joint Tax Returns
- W2s, mails, bank statements of spouse and I with same address

We're going to provide everything we can think of except a joint apartment lease agreement.

My husband is in the Navy and stationed in San Diego. He's just renting a room from one of our friends there because his home is with me in LA. He goes home every weekend or I go there.

Anyway, during contract signing for the apartment which was in 2017 he wasn't there because he was in the East Coast for their training. There's 4 of us in the apartment, me and my spouse, my brother and his friend. In short, only three of us signed but the landlady is aware that there's 4 of us. She jsut agreed to not include him in the agreement because he's not there to sign.

Months ago I asked her to add my husband to the lease agreement because we need proof of him living there, and she said that company rules if she adds one more person to the contract we have to increase rent. We currently cannot afford that right now and I don't know what to do.

I'm thinking of just being honest with the officer if they ask why he's not in the lease but I hope it won't cause us any trouble. What do you guys think? Even if they call my landlady she knows my husbands lives there.

Thank you in advance for the advice!
