H1b stamping in Vancouver
All, wanted to share my experience so it would be helpful for future applicants

Profile: F1 to H1 first time, consular notification

Interview date: Feb 1

Usual questions about masters, work profile, company etc. At the end received a 221g white slip which is surprising and was asked whether to keep passport with me or hand it over now - I asked the officer to keep the passport

Feb 1 - status is admin processing
Feb 4 - status is admin processing
Feb 5 - status changed to visa issued

hopefully i can receive my passport tomorrow (the courier tracking link is not working, looks like i need to wait sometime)

Couple of important points:
1. Bring latest photo (my photo was rejected and I had to use the booth inside consulate to take photos, costs 10CAD you can carry wallet, so shouldnt be a problem)
2. If officer says 221g and asks option to take back passport/give it then you should be able to make a decision then

Hope this helps
