I was a very long journey for me. If you have any questions, I would love to help since someone helped me in this process. We didnt use a lawyer, we (I) just did it myself with the help of my friend who has been through the same case.

The interview was all formalities, he basically just read what is in the folder specially the part 8 of the form I485 which is about Eligibility and Inadmissability. They wanted to know if your marriage is legit, you paying taxes and following the law, that you know what you are doing and the answers in your form.

When you come in for an interview, whatever energy you give to the IO is the energy they will give you. If you start with a smile and say your pleasantries like Hello! Good afternoon, how are you today? I think its the same energy they will give to you. It is normal to be nervous like me but if you know everything and how to answer, there is nothing to be nervous about.

The main questions is probably 5-10 minutes but our conversations about other things like life, travels, workout and even the clear glass inside the IO’s office was more than 30 mins.

He didnt approve me right there but he put a sticky on my folder saying “highly recommended”. We left his office laughing and smiling.

When we got home, I got a text update on my phone saying that new update on my case. I thought it would say that Interview Completed but to my surprise, it says that WE ORDERED A NEW CARD. Wow! I cant believe what I got in one day. Then 2 days later it says that the card has been mailed.

To God be the Glory! It was a very long journey but now I can breathe...I hope and pray yours will be next. Just keep that positive mind and faith.
