OCI Possible implications with US Security Clearance/ US jobs
Sorry, I am posting the issue here since I thought this is the most appropriate forum to discuss this type of query. I did some online search where I saw few OCI card holders posting their experiences obtaining security clearance with US Federal Government for certain type of jobs that require security clearance or accessing classified information.
I realize OCI is a life long visa and and certainly does not grant a dual citizenship, but the name itself is somewhat misleading and the US Government interprets it differently. I am debating whether to apply OCI cards for self and kids who have PIO cards.
I have seen some threads which talk about this issue but most have not followed up as to whether the OCI had created any problems or not in the security clearance process. Any experiences you can share?
