Successful First H1b Stamping (H4-H1) Calgary - 02/12/2019
Today I had Interview at 9.20 AM at Calgary. Arrived there at 8.30 AM. Security asked me to come back at 9.00Am. Had a coffee in Tim Hortons which is located in the same building. went back at 9.00 am. They could keep my phone. (I took the documents, 2 credit cards, some cash, hotel key, Driver license and phone with me). After security check, they checked the I797, photo and finger printing. Interview is in the same room in the different window.
The officer asked very simple questions.
1. Is this first H1b.
2. What is your highest degree and in which field
3. What is your role in Your company(I am FTE)
4. How long you are working with them.
then she showed the workers rights pamphlet and asked me to give the brief intro about it. then she said your visa is approved you will get your passport back on Monday and In calgary it will take 5 days to get the passport. After interview I came to Vancouver. After booked the flight ticket I was worried that they might ask my passport since I m on visiter visa since I have US driver license. But they r ok with any ID with ur photo on it. Aadhar might work ;). Now waiting for the Email and having great time with family in Vancouver.
