My experience so far
Hi,
I have applied for Canada ICT work permit. Here is my timeline -
2/5/2019 - Applied for ICT work permit. Applied visitor visa for my wife and student work permit for my son (He is in elementary school here in US)
2/6/2019 - Got letter for biometrics
2/7/2019 - My wife got letter for biometrics
2/8/2019 - We both went to USCIS Application Support Center, gave our finger prints and photo
We are still waiting for the decision.
My experience so far is that the whole process is very confusing with tons of forms to be filled. The cic website has information all over the place, and not very clear.
I was just going through the passport submission process on https://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/USA/how_to_apply.html#temporary_documents
It does not make it clear if I can send all our passports as a single package or separate ones?
If I send them in a single package how much 'Package Transmission Fee' has to be sent? Can we send it in cash or personal check or cashiers check? In whose name it has to be sent?
Also, for return shipping, do they accept return shipping label from FedEx or UPS, or do they accept only USPS?
What other documents need to be submitted?
I was reading the TT Services Consent form, which again is confusing -
1. Do all of us have to submit one consent form each?
2. Last Page mentions something about wishing to give biometrics. Since we have already given our biometrics, it is not applicable to us; so how to interpret it or shall we just ignore that section?
The whole process is mind boggling....
Cheers,
Vivek
