Hello everyone, This is my first post. I have recently found this site and it’s really helpful to my wife & I. We got married in July 2018 and we are in the processing of applying for AOS.(her paper work haven’t been sent to Department of homeland security. A friend told us it’s important for us to file tax jointly for our interview.. However, she is currently out of status at this point and she doesn’t work. She entered the US legally. We are not sure what we do. Can she go ahead and apply for ITIN thru an IRS certify agent without having any problems so We can file together. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
