Help help Overstayed
Hello everyone, have been on this forum for a while and am really thankful to God for this opportunity. Have been married since oct 2017 though was married before I got out of status. My husband is in the navy and he’s active. We didn’t file for my adjustment of status because it’s never I occurred to us ( I was 22 when we got married and he was 21). He’s always going underway for over a month most times. During this period he do ask me to visit my friends so that I won’t be lonely. Fast forward to last month when I was in another state visiting a friend, I got a call from a someone stating that immigration came over to check me (the first place I was when I came in). I was scared and they mentioned I flew by air with overstayed 6months I was given but my visa and passport are still valid. I’m curious to know why they are looking for me. I can’t reach out to my husband because he’s underway presently and going for deployment next month. The sad part i got stucked here and I can’t travel down to the naval station base right now. Have filed all my forms but am waiting for my husband to be back Cux he’s yet to file for this year’s tax in our name. Some people advised I should get my military Spouse ID ASAP BUT am just scared Cux my husband is not around yet.
