First H1b in Toronto with new DS-160 and renewed passport
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to share my experience on this forum. I had my interview on 2/19/19 at Toronto consulate which went pretty smoothly. I have been working for a consultancy without vendor involved and direct contract with client from last 2 years. Had 1 H1b cap exempt denial last year. This is cap H1b got approved after 1 RFE with Day 1 CPT. Stopped 2nd Masters in US after H1b got approved. I received my renewed passport 5 days before the H1b interview so was nervous if they will accept new DS-160 which they did. There were not many people for H1b interview when I went for the interview but there were long lines for other categories of visa. I was only asked where did i studied, when i completed my first masters, which school did i attended, did i worked for any other employer before the current one, what are my job responsibilities (i was asked nothing about client so I did not mentioned anything when talking anything about employment). I thought he assumed I dont have consultancy-client relationship but anyway interview lasted 3-4 minutes and he said your visa is approved and i will get the passport in 5 days.
