H-1B interview in Calgary
This forum has been very helpful to me. Thought I'd write about my experience. I am transitioning from F1 status to H1B.
I chose Calgary because the Airbnbs were much cheaper than other cities. I ended up getting an entire 1 bed apartment for USD 40 a night (including taxes and fees) that's a 10 min walk from the consulate.

My appointment was for 9:20 am yesterday. I only carried my keys, wallet and documents to my interview. There wasn't much of a crowd. Probably spent a little less than an hour for the entire process.
Questions were straightforward. VO asked me about my job title, how long I've worked there and educational background. Gave me a pamphlet to read on workers rights in the US while she finished typing. Told me my visa was approved and to come pick it up next week.
I'll make another post when I pick up my passport or if I get an email from them asking for more documents.
