Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hello everybody

I (US citizen by birth) and my husband (same sex marriage) filed for AOS in September 21 2017 ! My spouse got hisbEAD and filed for renewal ! Status still shows that IV is ready to be scheduled ! We live in Mount Vernon, NY .. i dont know how long it might take more ! We have been reading this forum and reading that some IO ask personal questions that doesn’t help in approving an authentic marriage or acts rude with the non us citizen ! So my spouse gets anxious easily when someone attacks him ! I don’t want him to be uncomfortable first of all , so i m asking if someone knows what the IO can ask ! And when we have the right to not answer ! Because actually they need to notice the fact that it’s me who’s giving my spouse the citizenship legally not the officer ! I understand their role but i heared some painful stories ! Already the waiting is so much ! We can’t travel, we think twice before every step we do ! I was reading that paying bills from anyone’s account doesn’t count unless we pay it from the joint account ! Which is BS ! My husband knows all my passwords and have photos of my cards, i do the same ! We don’t spend alot, because we still building our lives ! He saved me ! We don’t have too much money in our accounts, but we are going day by day ! I heard that if the joint account has less than 10k it’s considered a fraud and non responsibility !!!
I really support all of you in this journey, and waiting for our IV ! Ready to fight lol
