I just need to share my GC experience with you guys. I was scheduled for AOS interview without EAD.

Married: August 2018

Filed in mid Oct 2018 and USCIS received on 1st Nov, 2018

Biometric done in Nov. 30th 2018

Got RFE for joint sponsor in Dec and we responded a week later ( Brother in-law joint-sponsored ).

Got "case ready to be scheduled for interview" in Jan 9 2019, a week later interview was scheduled for 21st Feb 2019(wife birthday). Still EAD case says 'case received since Nov 1st' and still haven't gotten EAD card.

Supporting Documents:

Since I don't have EAD/SSN we have little evidence to prove the genuineness of our marriage. What we do have are joint bank statement, some pictures and a car registration in our names(just did that a day to interview). No joint gas/electric bill, no joint credit card, lease or insurance.

This is how the interview went. On the interview day we got a call from USCIS requesting we bring some evidence to prove that our marriage is a bona fide one. We got there 30 mins earlier and nicely dressed to boost our confidence levels. Was surprised when the IO called my wife in and interviewed her for like 20 mins, was a bit nervous and it was my turn. I was placed under oath and the questions were simple that I believe one should know if the marriage is genuine. How we met, first date, Wife's name and birthday, bedroom color, rooms, kitchen color and so on. He was comparing our responses and later told me ' I'm approving your GC card and should come in 2 weeks' I asked him about EAD and said you don't need it anymore use your GC to apply for your SSN. The IO was the same guy that phoned us to bring some evidence. Meanwhile he forgot to thumbprint and take a picture of me after the interview, so he called us to come the following day to get it done. Now status says 'New card is being printed'. See what God can do in 6 months.

My advice is that pray to God, get as much required docs and put in your best in the interview and I wish you all the best.
