Visa Stamping from Canada/ Mexico

I landed as Canadian PR on 20-Feb and went for H1b stamping with my family on 21-Feb to US consulate Ottawa by 07.45 AM.
The staff asked for Passport and Ds-160 and status in Canada.

I carried my mobile and I was told to switch it off and leave it at the security and collect back when I am done with the interview.

Initially the documents were checked and it took sometime as they keyed in all the details. Then we were directed to go for Biometrics.
Soon after biometrics, we were interviewed by a VO.
The questions were pretty simple:
1. Which company do you work for?
2. What is you designation?
3. What does your company do?
4. How long have you been working with this company?
5. What is your highest level of education?
6. Have you read your rights? (I was given a handout on Employee rights)

Turned to my wife and asked her highest level of qualification
Asked my son to come forward and asked his age.

The she congratulated us after seeing our Canadian PR confirmation and said that your visa is approved and I will be able to collect my passports in 4-5 days. She cancelled the old visas from my kids old passports and returned all the documents except our passports.
I was able to collect back my mobile at the security after giving back the token that was issued while handing over the phone.

I checked later in the status showed as the case in Administrative process and next day it changed to 'Issued'. Next day I received and email stating that our passports are released to the courier and a tracking number with it.
And the Canada post updated the tracking number only by day end and now we are waiting for the passport to be delivered to the post office tomorrow and will drive back to US after passport collection.
