New York City: Citizenship Application Update
Office: NYC
Applied: 05 June 2018
Fingerprints: 28 June 2018

My online status is showing as taking longer to process, but my estimated case completion is March 2019.

My local senator contacted the USCIS NYC office on my behalf, and she found that as of January 2019, the office is processing US Citizenship applications of April 2017 or before. So, I am not sure how some applicants in NYC have applied in 2018 and already have had their interviews and received their citizenship.

My case, I believe is straightforward. I have no criminal record, I have never been in trouble with the authorities, I have been in this country always legally for over 16 years. I have half my GC for almost 7 years. I received all my H1-B and O1 visas without issue, and I received my GC in under 6 months as I was self-sponsored.

I am a British Citizen.

Is there something missing?
Do you know of anyone who applied last year in NYC and has already received their interview date?
The process is not making sense to me as to how I am reading on this blog that applicants have received interviews in NYC when applied in 2018.

Any comments from NYC applicants please.
