San Francisco, CA
Hi guys,

I’ve been reading all your comments and different experiences. I filled for my adjustment of status (marriage based) on July, 2018. In August 28th I got an updated on the website saying that my case was ready to be scheduled for an interview. I haven’t had any other updates since then. I received my AED card on December, 2018 (5 months after filling, 4 months after biometrics).

What’s left is the interview. As today, it’s been 8 months since I filled. I know it’s still early but I wanted to know the timeframes that San Francisco is currently handleing (based on your experiences). A month ago my lawyer told me that the interviews are taking 12-14 months to be scheduled (but that’s just an estimated). I looked at the USCIS website and it says between 18 and 20 months.

Some of the comments I read says that the SF office is finally moving and the times seem to be reducing slowly. Is this true? It seems that San Jose has a way different processing timeframe (between 9 and 20 months). What determines the office that handles my case? I live in the east bay (Pleasanton).

Thank you in advance!
