Interview Experience: Officer was quite jolly. He first asked me my full name, SSN and address. Then he asked me all application question line-by-line along with my past employers and current employer info in detail. He asked me since when I am living at my current address as well. On question, “Have you ever been arrested?” I replied NO and he looked at me, smiled, and asked me gently that you didn’t even get speeding ticket yet? I smiled back and replied, “Yes of course Sir”. He then asked “Do you mind if I asked you to explain me how you got speeding ticket?” I explained him the entire situation and he replied, “Thank you for the detailed clarification on this.”
He asked me to look into the tab, which affixed to the table and asked me to verify my details, and once I verified the details he asked me to sign it. Upon completion of that part, he looked at me, smiled the same way, and said, “Let’s check your civic knowledge.” He asked me very simple questions 1) What is the economy system in US 2) Who is the President of US 3) If President can no longer serve who becomes the President and 4) Which ocean is on the East Coast of US. I gave all answers correct and he again asked me to look into the tab and asked me to read the question loudly that popped up on tab screen. The question was “When is the Columbus Day?” I read it loudly and he asked me to write down the answer of this question into the tab as “The Columbus Day is in October”. After couple of minutes, he stood up and said that you passed the interview but I am not giving my decision yet since I have to look into your application again. We will notify you through mail if your application approved or if we need you to come back for another round of interview. I replied “sure and thank you.” Interview was completed.
While I am writing this post, my case status is still shows as “We scheduled your interview” and hasn’t changed at all. Through this thread, I figured that almost every other applicant here has same situation, irrelevant of field office or city/state. I hope and pray I get approval sooner than later. That is same for everyone here who is sailing the same boat. Wish you all Good Luck.
