NYC Filers
Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to get a sanity check from my fellow New Yorkers as the wait drags on for interview dates at the slowest offices in the country! It's been an insanely long journey for me as I began this process back in June 2016. My AOS is in the F2A category.

Timeline:
I-130 approval received: Oct 2016 with PD date of June 2016
I-485 filed: Oct 2017
Case ready to be scheduled for an interview: Oct 2018 (one year later)

So basically, I waited a whole year after my I-485 was filed until NBC approved the interim EAD/AP card and shifted the I-485 application to the interview stage. I live in Manhattan, so am assuming that this means I'm waiting for an interview date from the NYC field office which is currently upto a 31-month wait.

My questions for this forum:
1. What do you guys mean by PD date? Is it different from the Received Date? I ask b/c the USCIS processing times seem to calculate based on "Received date" rather than PD date. My PD date is almost 3 years ago (based on the I-130), but the I-485 was received 1.5 years ago which is below the 20-31 months range. Which one should I be using?

2. New Yorkers, are you seeing interviews being scheduled for people who filed the I-485 in late 2017?

3. Is there anything we can do to expedite (ha!) the scheduling of the interview?

Thanks for any advice you can provide!
