Walk-in biometrics question(Chicago)
First of all I would like to say thank you to everyone, who’s sharing their experiences here. You have been awesome and very helpful!
Anyways, I have a question regarding a biometrics appointment walk-in experience in Norridge (CHICAGO ASC). I’m adjusting through marriage with the US Citizen. Our priority date was March 12 and everyone, including lawyer, assured us that USCIS is super slow now and the biometrics will take at least 2 months to be scheduled. The point is, me and my wife bought tickets to Hawaii for our honeymoon, paid for the hotel, car, activities, etc. All of a sudden USCIS decided to start working hard for those tax dollars and scheduled my biometrics right away on March 30. I am absolutely not able to attend, because me and my wife already spent helluva load of money for our trip, and we’re leaving on 29th. On top of that, it’s our honeymoon for Christ’s sake.
Can I just walk in on Monday, give ‘em tickets, explain the situation and get my fingerprints taken early? USCIS website scares you, that all ASCs in Chicago work only by appointments. Have someone had any recent experience with that? I will really appreciate your help
