Interview in NYC (Brooklyn) today, question about EAD
We had our interview today. PD is August 2017
The officer was really nice and joked a bit with us
Took most of our evidence (only things that have both of our names, annoying that some companies wouldn't add the second name) and couple of pics
Asked us each other's dates of birth, date of marriage, how did we meet, what was the proposal like, if we met each other's families, about work and schedule, address, wedding. It was fairly quick.
The officer said we have to wait for up to 120 days for the decision.
I realize that I should have asked the officer this question, but totally blanked. So will ask here: my EAD has expired Feb 28, I have applied for new one 3,5 months ago. Will they still work on my EAD now? I know that I have automatic 180 day extension, but looking for a new job and don't feel very comfortable filling out i-9 without an actual authorization... Also applied for advance parole 2,5 months ago cuz worried about my grandpa who is not doing well, so wondering now if they will keep reviewing that case or no? What happens to other applications after the interview if there is no on the spot approval?
