USCIS lost my moms case
So me and my mom went to the interview for my moms green card at federal plaza Manhattan at 02/22 in the morning.
Is this strange? Do they have interviews for parents?
Then the officer came to call us and said our file didn't arrive at the office yet?
But since our lawyer had the i485 i130. The officer interviewed us.
The interview went well. He said he couldn't approve us because he needs to wait for the case to arrive.
It has been 5 weeks. Should we be worried that they lost our case? I mean has this ever happened to anyone. You show up for the interview and they don't have your case.
They had the i130, not the i485 and other documents.
I an getting nervous. I have read cases in forums where they make you wait 9/10 months for no reason.
My mom wants to retire and is waiting for her green card.
