I485
I Put in my application in July 27, 2018 for my I-485 application in Atlanta Georgia and my case was received on August 2,2018 and got a notification for Biometrics by August 8, 2018 and did the Biometrics on August 21, 2018. I did put put in all the documents but for some reasons I got a mail from my Attorney on December 3 2018 saying they requested for my Sponsor 2017 Tax return/W2 which was immediately sent back to them and they got it by December 6,2018 and by January 2 I noticed the status changed and it says they require another document from me which is my spouse Tax paper for 2017/w2 which was also included in the first document I sent and I did not get that mail delivered to me until January 24 and it has a deadline that they must get my reply before Febuary 3, 2018 which my Attorney sent it out again by January 30, 2019 and it was delivered to Immigration on Febuary 1, 2019 and by Febuary 13, 2019 night I decided to refresh the page again and noticed it has changed to CASE IS READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW thinking I should get my EAD maybe in the next two weeks(2weeks) or so but as at today I am yet to get an EAD card and the status has not changed I called the Immigration office to ask what is the delay as the last time my case was updated was over 40days ago & I have not received an EAD or evem an Interview date and the lady was like my case is still within the estimated number of days that for a I-485 case it takes about 26months+ for the process that if after that that period that is when I can start to call and I am like so I would be held captive for that number of months my drivers license expired my Student EAD also expired since last year I can fend for my family so is anybody in Atlanta also experiencing/had experience that long time and what were the steps you took. Please I need answers on this as this is frustrating me daily
