Interview:

Our interview was scheduled for 8:30AM, we arrived at 7:45AM but didn’t check in until 8AM.
The IO called us in at 8:25AM. The interview was brief and lasted about 20 mins. The IO was very nice, it didn’t feel like an interview but more like a conversation about my husband and I, and our relationship. When we walked in, he asked us for documents that showed that we have a bona fide marriage. Here is the list of things I handed to him:

o Joint lease
o Joint bank account
o Joint club membership (Gold’s gym)
o Airline tickets from roughly 10 trips we have taken together and with friends overseas. For each I included roughly 2-4 pictures with descriptions written on the back

Then, he proceeded to ask us a few questions.
Questions to me:

o What is your husband’s full name?
o When is your husband’s birthday?
o What is your father-in-law’s name?
o What is your mother-in-law’s name?
o What is your home address?
o How long have you lived together?

Questions to my husband:

o What is your wife’s fill name?
o When is your wife’s birthday?
o How did you guys meet?
o What kind of wedding did you guys have?

Then, he asked me the “yes” and “no” questions from the I-485 form. After answering all of the questions, I signed the form and he asked if we had any questions for him. He then handed me a paper that said that my case would be under review.

At 9:30AM I received a text from USCIS that my case has been updated to “New Card is Being Produced”

Green card on hand: March 27, 2019

Thank you for reading and I hope this helps! Let me know if you guys have any questions and good luck to everyone still on this journey!
