Married to US Citizen over 2 years.

Didn't use a lawyer, also used myself as a co-sponsor at the time of the filing since my husband's income was below the poverty guidelines.

The interview was scheduled for March 14th, 2019 at 8:05 am at Federal Plaza. My husband and I arrived at 7:45 but weren't called in until 8:30. Our interviewer was young but seemed strict, the first thing he said to us was that his parents were immigrants so he is very understanding which was very comforting to us. Then he said that he usually doesn't conduct immigration interviews but he was called in that same morning because the officer that was supposed to interview us called out. Honestly, later in the interview, we understood that it was a god's gift and it's exactly how it was meant to be. The interview was an hour long, 65 minutes to be precise. He was very detailed and asked a lot of questions like:
What is your husband's full legal name?
How old is he at the moment?
What is his DOB?
What does he do for a living?
Where does he work?
Then he asked the same questions to my husband.
Following, he asked how we meet?
Where did we meet?
When was our first date?
When did we decide to be together?
When did we realize we want to spend our lives together?
Where do we live?
With whom do we live?
When did move-in together?
How many rooms in our apartment?
What does my mother-in-law do for a living?
Where does she work?
Who does most of the cooking?
Then he asked each of us what kind of music your spouse likes?
What do we like to do in our free time?
Has my husband met my parents?
What's their relationship like?
In the end, he asked for any additional documents we have for him.
I believe there were more questions but I can't recall them.

Our interview experience was really great, it wasn't just straight asking questions, he was asking them through building a conversation and sharing his personal experience, that's how we found that he grew up next to where my husband grew up and they went to the same high school, different years though, and that he is also half Jamaican. After the interview, he basically told us my card is approved although he gave us a 120-day review notice. Also, he said that doesn't take 120 days to review and that we will hear back in about 2 weeks, and we herd back a week later.

Feel free to ask me questions.
