AOS today
I had my interview today as Chicago Field Office, marriage based AOS. We had an appointment for 11.15AM and were called at 12.40PM.
The officer was verny nice gentelman in his 50. He asked basic question from i 485 form my name DOB, parnets name, my husbands name, the address and who live with me in the house: so I told him me my husband, out two kids and a dog. He also asked where and where we met, when and where we got married and how many people attended the reception. Then he asked if I have any supporting docs, so I gave him all our taxes , banks statements, IRA , 401K and life insurance, He said that”s enough. He also very quick went through the photo album and mede a comment about our kids skating and that his twins go to icecasting too. Then he started to ask all terrrorism/ security questions.
At the end he said that we are clearly a real couple and he recommeded us approval. He also said that they need to run background check again and I should receive 10 yrs GC in few weeks and I soud apply for citizenship in 3 years. The interiew took no more than 10 minutes.
We left and on the way to the parking my husband received a call from the officer. He appologized but he fprgot to take my picture and fingerprints. So we had to come back, went through security again.
