My Sister went to USConsulate Chennai for Visa stamping on Jan 7th. Unfortunately it was denied.
After asking few questions, they took away all her documents including
I797 and I129. They had given her a letter saying that her case is suspended at Chennai US Consulate and her I797 will be sent back to US INS and they will not provide any further information about her visa status. This is something is strange to me. I am not sure why they took her I797 back.Is there something we could do about it? Is there a possibility to get the I797 back? If anyone has any information about these please let me know.
