GC was lost in mail and field office is not accepting infopass for I-551
Hi Everyone,
After over a year, i finally received approval and my GC was on its way. USPS tracking number shows it was DELIVERED on 3/29/2019 but i did not receive anything. I contacted both local USPS office and the customer service and they both said it was delivered. I don't feel like there are too much hope to recover the mail at this point.
So i was looking into getting an info-pass appointment to get my passport stamped so i can travel this year and use that for my work authorization but on USCIS website it is saying that your field office is not accepting infopass appointment. I am aware that replacement of green card will take 6 month or even longer. Will I have issue with work authorization? My EAD card is expiring in august and i have no proof of my permanent resident status except for an approval letter of I485.... Is there any other way to handle this? i can't believe this is happening :(
