This forum has been such a great help and I cannot thank each and everyone of you for the immense support. The journey has finally come to an end after a long wait, I just received update today morning that my case has been approved. Below is my timeline, interview experience and TOC and happy to answer any questions
F2A Timeline (Have been together for 10+ years)
1. I-130 approved: Sept 01, 2016
2. AOS PD : Oct 01, 2017 (have been on H1B since 2006 so had a valid work visa while awaiting GC)
3. I-765 and I-131 Approval - May 15, 2018
4. I-485 Interview scheduled for Apr, 02 2019
5. I-485 New Card has been ordered - April 03,2019
6. I-485 Case has been approved notification April 04, 2019
Interview Experience: Scheduled for 10:50 AM
I prepared a lot of documents as you can see below for the interview, and the IO was very friendly. We checked in at 10:30 and were sitting in the waiting area. The IO came out around 11:00 AM and we were done with the interview at 11:26 AM. We walked in and she made me and my husband take the oath. Then she verified my name and DOB , same for my husband. At this point I gave her Table of Contents for the documents list and she laughed how much there was. I had a bankers box full of papers!! Then I let her know that we bought a house and address has changed and gave her the new address. She also took the deed/title and the escrow details for her file. Then she asked when did I last enter US and i gave the wrong date as dec 2 and my husband corrected and said jan 2, 2019 (we had gone to mexico for vacation). After which she asked a bunch of yes/no questions and asked my husband a few as well. She asked for my latest W2 and I gave her my W2, employer letter and tax for 2018. I also asked if she wants for hubby since he changed jobs and she said sure. Then I asked her if she needed something from the TOC list at which point she commented since my I-130 is already approved there is nothing additional needed. I insisted loads for her to pick from and asked if she wants to see our pics .. we have travelled to 16 countries together and she took them all. I had collages and she asked favorite countries we would recommend. Then I asked if she would like to see anything else; she said you guys are good. You shld have your update in a day once she enters everything in. Thats it, we shook hands and she walked us out. It was done in a blink of an eye!!
Moral of the story - prepare documents well and treat it like a chat vs something official. Be relaxed and if you have a legitimate relationship its easy.
