AOS marriage based and Asylum pending
Hi all,
I want to share some info with you guys.
We dated for one year.
Married in August of 2018.
Applied for AOS September of 2018.
Received RFE on 27th of September of 2018.
Responded for RFE on October 19th of 2018.
Case ready for interview October 31st of 2018.
Interview scheduled at January 2nd of 2019.
Interview date was on February 14th of 2019.
We were separated when we got there( stoke Interview). And the OI was a woman and she was really rude and didn't treat us well. She integrated me for about an hour and half. Asked a lot of question about my asylum case then started with my I-485 Then she interviewed my wife for about 45 mins. She treated her better than she treated me.
After the interview she didn't give us a paper saying that my case is under review but instead she said we will receive a decision in the mail. She said she has to review the whole application.
Luckily we had our lawyer with us and he said we did pretty well in the interview.
Now its been more than 7 weeks after the interview and we haven't heard anything back.
Anyone in the similar situation? I don't know what to expect?
