My Chicago Experience....Finally, God did it!
I’m gonna make this brief as possible. My journey started in 2015, I filed for AOS while my wife was still Perm. Resident & my file was rejected due to non availability of visa for perm. Resident spouse. So, i filed for I-130 & that was approved in 2016. Got a lil bit relieved. Then, the longest wait ever begun after that. Patiently waited till 2018 when my spouse got the Citizenship ,Praise! So, I quickly put in my AOS & EAD in May 2018. Filed for expidites for my EAD in May and I got my EAD delivered to me in July 2018. Then another long wait again. Late 2018 I got series of text we still reviewing your case, was worries cos I got a good job and they waiting on me to adjust my status to get some benefits & I was already considering putting in for a renewal of my EAD. Then, boom! Got a text early Feb. 2019 that my interview has been fixed for March 7,2019..what?? Was super happy that day. Then the day of my interview came, my wife, myself and our lil baby went in for it. The young lady that did the interview told us she’s gonna make faster and I think we spent just like 15 mins in total and we done! It was so fast that I forgot to drop our W2(Tax we filed together), our utilities together and some other documents I went with and had intention of dropping. Was made when we left that how could I forgot to drop all that, the only stuff I dropped that day was my lil child birth certificate & some pics. Just before we left the lady gave us a white paper that says we attended the interview and they gonna review it but she was like you guys good waiting for few months for response from USCIS. Then, on April 1st (April fool’s day), I got a text from USCIS that card is being ordered for, couldn’t believe my eye (thought it was April fool’s joke) lol...Then, it dawned on me that my journey for AOS processing has come to an end, finally, the long wait is over. Then, March 4th God two Letters (one is my 10years Green Card & the other was approval letter) .Now, that is my AOS story! Put this out to encourage most people on this platform to keep hope alive..Most stuff we worrying about ain’t actually worth worrying about cos with time all we be fine. Y’all stay blessed....God bless America! God bless Nigeria! God over Everything!
