Social security card and name change
Hello guys,
I received my green card on April 1. I already had a social security card and I applied for a change of name on my social security card on April 4. I was unable to get my driver's license renewed as social security had not updated their system with the name change. I went to the social security office today and they said that they are waiting to verify my information through DHS.
They were unable to give me a straight answer on how long it will take.
Has anybody gone through a similar experience? Does anyone know how long it will take?
