Interview March 7, 2019
Field Office: Orlando Florida

My husband and I had our interview on March 7, 2019. It was scheduled for 10:10 am we got there at 9:15. We went through security and were told to check but we were too early and had to wait until 9:40 to check in. I sat and watched the clock impatiently until that time came.

at 10:00am I saw an immigration officer come out and called out a number. I looked but it wasnt my number and the couple approached him. He looked at them and said this is not correct you are not the person in the picture. he brought them to the check in desk and found out that they had mixed up our numbers and that indeed the officer I was suppose to go to.

Once we got that cleared up he showed us to his office. He swore us in and got straight to it. He went over the i130 with my husband first kinda cross questioning us about names and date of birth. Nothing major. There were no mistakes with the application so we moved on to the i485.

He went over the form and found a mistake which I put my last name first and my first name last and he circled it and numbered it as a correction. We moved on to the never ending yes or no questions.

After that he stated that if we had anything i would like to submit. I stated that we have lots of evidence. He looked through my table of contents and just took some new documents: our lease, joint health insurance card and park passes showing my husband as my spouse. He asked if we had any pictures to submit and I had a album made with the pictures and description beneath each. he said he only needed about 5 more since I had submitted so many. I provided new pictures from when we had our family vacation.

After that he asked if I had any questions. I stated how long before we hear back something and he said he doesn't want to give a time frame. I asked if everything is okay with my application or if he needs clarification on anything he said everything looks fine and that having a kid together is more than enough proof and kinda chuckled.

I got no white paper. he escorted us out and that was that. My online status has not changed from interview was scheduled and i haven't heard or received anything.

I am just anxious and worried. I waited this long to share an update because i was waiting on good news to share. but maybe someone else is in the same shoes and this will help to let them know that they are not alone. I will update as soon as anything happens.
