Atlanta - Almost 120 days passing interview!
My filing date was last 1/12/2018. Interview date was 12/13/2018. Interview went very well, but I was handed over a paper saying decision cannot be made. Officer was nice and told me that the reason he could not recommend for approval was that my fingerprints during the interview could not go through system. Then comes long wait......! Almost 120 days after interview now, still not result!!

Called USCIS and reached an level 2 officer who is so nice and put in a service ticket for me a couple weeks ago. But I then got email back from them saying that I am under a background check now and they could do nothing about my case! This is quite ridiculous now! I am a legal immigrant with straight simple background, no criminal records at all, always paid tax on time. What the heck is going on? What are they checking that needs so much time??? I am speechless!!

I appreciate you have any suggestions that could possibly speed up the process. The only reason that I am so anxious is that I need a US passport to travel in next few months. Otherwise, I have to apply visas to those countries again, which is a big hassle for me!

Thanks
