Toronto visa stamping April 8
This forum has been very helpful and its time to give back :)
We did our PR landing over the weekend and had H1/H4 visa stamping in Toronto on Monday.

We arrived just in time for interview in the morning and was let in right away.
Steps-
1)They checked our PP and let us inside the building
2) Went through security check.
3) Then we were directed to a counter that checked our PP and DS 160 page.
4) We stood in line and got to a window where visa officer(or staff) checked our I797, PP, photos and asked about visa status in Canada.
Then gave us rights to work pamphlet and handed us a folder that had our PPs and h1b 797 only. (Photos were given back after they scanned it, and gave us back H4 I797)
5) Next, we were standing in line for visa interview. We were sent to one of the windows and officer asked few questions. The interview lasted for 2-3 mins. Very straight forward and smooth.
- Who is on H1b?
- Which company you work for?
- Position?
- What is your salary?
- Highest level of education? (Q for H1b applicant)
- Highest level of education? (Q for H4 applicant)
- Did you ever face any problem while staying in US?(question was directed to both of us)

Officer told us that visa is approved and we will get our PP in 3-5 days.

Total time we spent at consulate (in-out) was about 30 mins or less.
Overall, I am impressed with the whole process, and all staff members were very cooperative. I read bad google reviews online for Toronto consulate but our experience was very pleasant. No complaints.

We were prepared with all possible documents and questions they could ask. No documents were asked except PP, photos, i797 and DS 160 confirmation page.

But you never know what could they ask for. It is always better to be prepared.

Good luck to everyone applying for visa.
