question about travel
So I just had my marriage based GC interview last Thurs and the status still hasn't updated even though the officer told us everything looked good on the application. My wife and I had honeymoon travel plans traveling out of America on April 22nd. We'd originally booked the tickets awhile back hoping to travel on advance parole, but then the greencard interview notice came right before it, and now we don't know what to do. We'd asked the immigration officer after the interview to see if he could give us a call if things get processed by Friday, so we can come get a stamp on our passport, but he called back saying he'd recommended us for an approval but it would still take some time to review the application. Would we still be able to travel on advanced parole, while my application is awaiting a decision? If we get approved while being abroad, is there a way to get a resident stamp on my passport so we could reenter? I doubt they'll let me reenter on advance parole if my i-485 is approved. Any input would be much appreciated.
