NYC I485 has been APPROVED after the 2nd interview
First and foremost I would like to thank you guys all, I have been a silent reader of this forum for years now! and your YOUR experiences helped me a lot, multiple times...
We had our stokes interview last week at Federal Plaza building (NYC), long story shorts they sent the notice 6 days in advance to the old address, which we've moved from there and provided the new residing address, but apparently the still sent the notice letter to the old address, however that's not the point I'm trying to make now.
I'm not going to start telling you guys how dramatic and nerve-wracking my journey was, but its all good now. Today I got my Green Card which is valid for the next 10 years (this is very exciting)
My spouse and me concurrently filled the I130, I485 and I785 back in 2017 (JAN)
3 Months later received my first EAD card.
After exactly one year later received the notice for the first interview, which was going to happen in February 2018, we went there, called our names and went to the room, clearly the IO was not being friendly, basically saying that the was "pushy" and tried to grill us, the interview held for 25 minutes approximately, at the end of the interview the officer gave us the 120 day letter which is supper normal... and that's when the **** got real... obviously no response even after waited 120 days or so... I tried to contact the senators' office, congress, I even did the info pass, but no luck... last year around this time my EAD card got expired, and I filled for the renewal, they've never updated my EAD card. So two weeks ago, I got the letter, that we would have the "stokes interview" asking us to show up and bring all the required documents. (there are some details I can share with you guys if you want, but I'm trying to be as short as possible so you guys have an idea what's really happened). The interview was at 8AM in the same office, we went there got the ticket and waited for 30 minutes, got called again and went to the room. (also I want to tell you guys that I did the research about the 2nd interview, I've read possibly all the experiences that was available. keep that in mind that I did not even hire the lawyer, just me and my spouse went there prepared.) So as soon as we walked into the room, the IO asked us to show the papers that basically shows that our marriage is bona fide. we gave the officer all the documents we had with us, and luckily the 2nd interview never happened... honestly speaking I don't exactly know what happened, but we were happy... GOT APPROVED and GOT MY GREEN CARD TODAY... if you guys have any questions feel free to ask. I'll do my best to give you answers to your questions! also one more thing NEVER LOSE THE FAITH! and ALWAYS BELIEVE in YOURSELF!
