H1b Extension stamping, Toronto (4/30/19)
first time stamping Canada. 1st H1-B stamp in India, 2010. Same employer (non-IT) for 10 years. 4th Extension and 2nd H1-B stamping. Drove of Central NJ entered CA via Peace Bridge with Canada Visitor visa.

Interview Date: 4/30, AM
Status updated "Issued, 5/1, 11 am
E-mail with tracking number: 5/2, 10 AM

documents were checked at Toronto embassy (photo, I-797 and passport). Was ten fingerprinted and then stood in the Interview Line.

Questions asked
VO: who is your end client
Response: all in-house projects as I work for non-IT profession.
He was bit eased when I told him non-IT profession.
VO: Job duties
Response: YYYY
VO: How long are you working with this company
Response: 10 years
VO: Highest Degree
Response: Master in YYYY
VO: Have you applied for I-140
Response: Yes, attempted to present the I-140 approved I-797, VO said I do not need to see it.

Finally VISA approved. you will get the passport 3-5 business days.

Few tips:
1. Please present yourself well. DO NOT go for the interview in jeans and t-shirt, please at the most wear and office attire (ironed shirt, and formal pants)
2. Make sure your photos are passport size only. The photo booth inside the center did not work that day.
3. DO NOT BRING cell phones and bags. Only carry your folder/file with other required docs (passport, I-797 etc)
4. ARRIVE ONLY 20 MINS before your scheduled time so that you can stand in the line outside the embassy 15 mins before the time.
5. Keep a smile on your face when approaching the VO. wish him/her Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening. Say Thank you once done.
6. If Visa is approved, wait until NEXT day (after 24+hours) from your interview time and check the status here: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx.
you will need your DS 160 confirmation number.
7. If the status shows "Issued", you will get an email with tracking number and link NEXT DAY (after 24 hours) for passport pick-up/delivery. This above is what happened with my case in Toronto, other may be different ?? not sure.

Good luck to ALL !

Great website to read and post experiences. knowing what others went through helps a lot to be mentally prepared.
