Hi there
I took my mom to her i485 interview on 5/1. Everything went well. But at the beginning of the interview, my mom was asked to take her fingerprint and the machine cannot read her fingerprint!! (Last year my mom went to her biometric appointments three times to provide her fingerprint!!!) her hand was very dry and doesn’t have clear fingerprints. The officer was very nice and asked my mom try multiple times, but still couldn’t go through. The officer told us the system cannot match my mom’s fingerprint. He had to submit a form for us and will go from there. At this point, nothing was needed from us. Yesterday our online status changed to “interview was completed and my case must be reviewed”. Should I worry? Does anyone have similar experience? How long do we need to wait before a decision can be made?
