Adjustment of Status - I-485

Hey guys, I had my interview sometime in march. The officer did not spend much time with us as she knew our lawyer and wanted to rush our IV so he could represent his other clients so we did not get to converse with her. She only asked basic questions and said she'll review all our documents and get back to us in a few weeks.
A few weeks later I receive an RFE to prove my marriage is real, thing is I and my wife do not have bank statements or bills together because our lease covers all our utility bills and my wife was engaged in bank fraud in the past before we met so we aren't able to open any bank accounts to co-mingle finances.
We however had internet bills, car insurance, lease documents, tax returns and sworn affidavits from her sister, my landlord and a family friend. We are a pretty young couple in our early twenties so we can not afford mortgages and other documents most of you on here have.
Now my question is, now they asked for RFE, what can we do. Our evidence hasn't changed much from what we submitted at the interview. We however did not explain to the IO reason for no bank statements or light/gas bills cause like I said my lawyer kinda told her to rush the IV. What can we do now? What are my chances like? I'm in a bit of dilemma. Is the RFE after interview a bad thing? I'd appreciate any positive input please as I and my wife are running amok and confused. We are a young couple in love and any help will be well appreicated
