5 Important questions for all of us
Hi friends!

The only thing that keep me hopeful these days is reading your comments in this forum. I am bringing up 5 questions that I believe many of you have them in your mind too. Please help me learning their answers:

1) My current I-485 status is "ready to schedule an interview". Looks like I am one of those with a significant date difference between this status and "interview was scheduled". On visa bulletin, a case like mine is Current. However, no one knows how much longer I have to wait for the interview. In case, due to a backlog or something, my case becomes Not Current in future, what should I do? I have my EAD/AP but if my case becomes not current, can I still file for renewal of my EAD/AP? Current-ness of an I-485 is important for the time of interview not just at the time of filing right? Is that also the measure for EAD/AP issuance then?

2) Those of you who had a chance to talk to a tier 2 USCIS officer, could you understand in anyway what the reason for this prolonged EAD/AP issuance is? I cannot understand why processing of the I-485 has followed a timeline similar to its past but only EAD/AP processing part of it has a backlog now.

3) Does anyone know why the marriage-based filers get a faster processing than the employment-based filers? The current policies by the this current administration should be more in favor of the employment-based filers, isn't it? I am really confused!

4) When we file for EAD/AP renewal, do we need to go through another biometric appointment or we just file a simpler package for renewal and only wait to receive the new card?

5) Form I-693 that I have is signed in Mar 2019. It is valid until Mar 2021, right? What if the USCIS form becomes updated in its website? Do we need to have another medical examination signed form in that case?

Thank you all! Hope to hear good approval news from your cases here! Let the hope keep springing!
