What happened to my AOS case ?

Thanks for taking out time on this, on Dec 4th 2018 my case of Adjust of Status (concurrent filling with, 130, 148, 176, 131, marriage based) was received by USCIS, on 22nd Dec 2017 I received notification letters, Jan 4th 2019 I had biometric at Hackensack Center.
Post that my case is never updated on site/app, the notification letters says that it’s being processed in National Benefit Center, today it’s 121 days of processing.
I called to USCIS to open a service request but they refused mentioning that case is still in expected processing period (4 - 6 month at that time) today it shows 5 - 7 months processing time.
I am desperately waiting for EAD to start my employment and as of today I have absolutely no idea on its status.
Is all this normal ? is there anything I can do to get hold of it ?
Appreciate your advice.
